Dates of keeping: October, 20th-26th, 2013

Conditions of access to participation:

Representatives of national federations, who have passed national qualifying championships with calling in all interested groups of Kyokushin in a particular country at age from 18 years old with a style qualification not less than 4th kyu are able to participate in the World Championship.

Time and place of keeping national qualifying championships are defined jointly by representatives of international organizations, listed in the “Members” section on

Financial conditions:

The entry fee 80 euro per category.

The Hotel  from 20-26 of Oct. 2013 prices is 250 euro per person with three meal per day!
The price of the Hotels are all-inclusive food and drinks and transport to the sport hall and back.

The prices contain accommodation, all inclusive“ board and transfers from/to Heraklion Crete airport and transfers to/from venue.

To provide the airport transfers we need all flight details until 1^st october 2013! The waiting time for the transfers at the airport will be max. 45min.

The Tournament Hotel Apollonia Beach,  Amoudara, Crete

The nationale teams/ organization covers the following charges:

- Air ticket to Greeece, Crete, Transfer to and from hotel for fighters, judges, max. two coache per nationale teams / country

- Accommodation / Hotel of teams/fighters and max. two coach per. countryl

- Lunch / drinks for the teams

Applications for participation:

Deadline for preliminary applications (appendix number 1): up to July 1^st, 2013

WARNING! The following documents shall be provided together with a preliminary application:

1) photo in dogi (karategi) (portrait photography in electronic form, tiff                       format, 300 dpi)

2) appendix № 4 - completed by each fighter

3) application for accommodation (appendix № 5)

4) list of judges (appendix № 2)

5) group preliminary application for the whole delegation (appendix 7)

The deadline for the final applications - October 1^st, 2013.The final application is sent by e-mail, it must contain all the necessary signatures and seals.

Applications are accepted only if filled in accordance with prescribed form (Attachment № 1). The application must be signed by the presidents of the national federations of the country, whose fighters are in the application.

General rules:

The competitions will be kept by the rules of WKU, which are posted on the official web-site: www.gcoworld.com  and www.worldkyokushin.com

Judges:

Two persons from every country who have judicial experience of such level competitions are allowed.

The exact number is defined by organizing committee of competitions. Application for judges is represented by attachment 2.

Awards:

Conditions of summarizing

Sports competitions in kumite are kept on basis of retirement after one loss. Each weight category has two third places.

Awarding of champions and prize-winners

Champions and prize-winners (1^st-3^rd places) are awarded with medals and diplomas as well as cups of corresponding grade.

Anti-doping control

Winners from 1^st to 3^rd places will go through doping test in accordance with the rules of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Age Category and Weight Division

”Cadet, Junior and Kids Category  have one category for Girls and one category for Boys”

The fighter’s age is defined as at the day of going through the Tournament committee, which is October, 20^th ,2013.

Obligations of fighters

Leader of the team gives the original application, and each fighter must have the following documents with him/her:

• passport;
• allowance of sports medic to participate in competitions;
• HIV antibodies test certificate;
• HBV antibodies test certificate;
• HCV antibodies test certificate;
• agreement of insurance from accident, valid at the time of competitions (original);
• written application of a fighter – appendix №3;
• filled appendix №4.

Protection:

Each fighter, allowed to participate in competitions, must have:

• white karategi and a belt, representing fighter’s qualification;
• groin shell: Men / women/Junior mandatory;
• protectors for shin and insteps – mandatory for semi KD, light KD;
• chest protector of a standard type - mandatory for women and kids;
• gum shield (oral cavity protector), white colour – voluntary.
  If there are brackets on teeth, gum shield is mandatory.

All protection items must have a mark of WKU.

All participants will have possibility to purchase protection items before the credentials commission.

ATTENTION! All protection items must be individual, each fighter must have his own!

Schedule of fights:

Full KD Men/ Women: Shin and insteps is voluntary:

Preliminary fights: 2 minutes + 2 minutes  + 2 minutes.

Semi-final and final fights: 3 minutes + 2 minutes + 2 minutes + Tameshiwari (breaking boards with seiken, shuto, empi) + 2 minutes.

Semi KD: Men /Women/ Cadet/  Juniors: Shin and insteps – mandatory

Preliminary fights: 2 minutes + 2 minutes  + 2 minutes.

Semi-final and final fights: 2 minutes + 2 minutes  + 2 minutes + 2 minutes

Lights KD (Kids from 8-12 years old): headgear and shin and insteps – mandatory
Preliminary fights: 1.½ minutes + 1.½ minutes

Semi-final and final fights: 1.½ minutes + 1.½ minutes 1.½ minute
